When I lived in South Florida I was so close to Everglades National Park. I could be at the parks entrance within 10 minutes of leaving my home.
And another 30 minutes to this area where I could be Watching these beautiful Barred owls.
Not I am 300 plus miles to the North I hear these Owls almost every night but rarely see them. Since being here for six years, I have seen a barred owl twice and a great horned owl once. It's just one thing I miss about South Florida the Everglades.

I'm still in Florida but not where I used to see these Owls on a regular morning out in the national park.

I went to a sport/RV/vacation show a few years ago and they had an owl with the wildlife preserve booth. It was amazing to see one that close up!!!

That's a beautiful owl! I love them and have an owl collection. So glad you're here to bring us your terrific pics and stories. We hear owls very rarely here; and we've never seen one in the wild.
