Mailbox Knocked Down

United States
December 12, 2022 4:55pm CST
I was on my way to Bible class and noticed my mailbox and trash can was knocked down to the ground. Looks like someone ran over them with a car. Others were still standing. I didn't make it to class as I was shocked at what I saw. Go figure.

@popciclecold I'd say can't believe that happened, but I can. The way people drive, it's a wonder anyone on our street have mailboxes.

That is a shame that your mailbox and garbage were taken out like that. I hope that you can get the mailbox put back up so that you can get some Christmas cards tomorrow.

Thank you. The iron pole was bent. We sat it back up.

That was rude of someone knocking them down and not warning you about it,

It was rude. I wonder if someone was drinking and driving.

My youngest daughter and her family purchased a farmhouse a few years back, before they decided to move to Florida. In 2 years, they had 4 mailboxes destroyed. One by a passing truck and the other 3 by snowplows. It was very frustrating for them. People could at least stop and own up to it or leave a note on the person's door or something. When I lived rurally, I lost 2 mailboxes and posts in 5 years, both to snowplows.

Oh no that’s not good I’m sorry this happened. We’ve had ours knocked over a few times. The snow plow usually hits it each year.

They probably ran them over and left real quick. Some people just do not care.

@popciclecold Of course the person who knocked it down should have put it back up, but you can bet they got away quickly.
