It's a Christmas miracle!

My youngest son loves building with Lego, especially the Super Mario sets. They're a bit pricey (usually around $45-60), so we've only gotten the sets for him for special occasions, like birthdays and Christmas. These are unique sets because kids can build a game course for the characters, just like in the video game, and the characters interact with the "action tiles" and react to the Lego blocks depending on their colors, giving the character "coins" or "power-ups" or other game bonuses. I saw the newest set with the Princess Peach figure a few months ago, but we weren't sure whether or not we should get it. We knew he'd like it, but would he really get $60 worth of entertainment out of it? Was another expansion necessary right now, even for Christmas? We didn't get it at the time, but wondered if we had made the right decision. Today after work, I had to go to Costco to purchase some less expensive proteins for the week than what my store had to offer. I also had to buy some work pants for the 17-year-old, so I went to the middle section of the store where they had the clothing and Christmas toy displays and found the Princess Peach set again... MARKED DOWN TO $19.97!!! I put it in my cart, texted a co-worker who has been looking for affordable Lego sets for his son, asked him if he wanted me to pick one up for him too (he did, and was ecstatic at the find), and felt so happy that I found them for such a good price. I'm sure they'll all be gone by tomorrow, if they aren't already sold out at this point. I was at the right place at just the right time!
