All this started with a pineapple and a post I read here. All you know that one thing leads to another as memory goes.
While I was cutting a piece of my ripe pineapple to piece it, put sugar and leave it a while in the fridge, I remembered that my mother used the pineapple rind to make a delicious refreshment.
She placed the rind with lots of water and cooked it. Only that was awesome as the aroma is incredible and it fills the house.
After it is fully cooked, the rind is discarded and some sugar is placed in the water and it is cooked a bit longer so that the sugar is disolved.
Then it is placed in the fridge until it is cold.
Sometimes my mom left it for some days so that it fermented and a sort of cider was made. But I am drinking water all day with this heat so I was not going to wait.
I tried it with some ice cubes and put the rest in the fridge.
Try it. It is as good as the pineapple itself.

It is wonderful and very inexpensive. The only value is a bit of sugar.

It is. And I saved some money as I did it with tap water and rinds.
