Due to the extreme heat (and maybe some very bad people) there have been many big fires some of them near towns where people live.
I just heard that a fireman had died while he was trying to put off the fire. The wind is not helping.
Our whole city has a big cloud of smoke and authorities are suggesting that we go back to masks when we go out.
Maybe this will be the moment I can overcome lazyness and start sorting clothes as many people have lost it all. And this is not ending yet.
I´ll keep you posted. See you

Indeed this is terrible news for your country.
Be careful and wear a mask.
Chile is battling to control the spread of several wildfires that have already destroyed more than 4,000 hectares (9,900 acres) of woodlands and are putting local communities at risk. Central regions including the Santiago metropolitan area, Valparaiso, O'

It is terrible. It takes a long time for the wood to grow again. Authorities have said that many of the fires were started by people.

Fires could have been started by bad or irresponsible people. But nobody counted on the extreme heat or the wind.

So sorry. A mask will help against the smoke. That would be a good use for the clothes.

Climate change and weather changes coupled with human activity is causing a lot of issues.
Even we have more than the usual number of Hotter days in the Summers.
Rains and the winter days have shortened to lesser days but are much more harsh and sharper.
Forest Fires can be very devastating and cause a lot of hardships.
It's tough for the firefighters as well.

@marguicha
That is a very big problem.
Again rising human numbers mean lesser resources to cope up with.

There are places where there is not enough water to fight the fires.

There is such a violence now here that we cannot live in peace. Three years ago my house was burglarized 2 times in a few months. That´s when I put an alarm, cut some plants, put of special lights and bought Luna. I trust Luna more than any other measure.

That's really bad news. As you know, the west coast of the United States has been plagued with fires for quite some time. Now it has begun to s**w and rain. I hope your country can get the fires under control.
