Hello! I went to church this morning, then afterward went home with a lady who had invited me for dinner. We went to her house, and a table was all set up, and soon her family, most of whom I knew, started arriving. At each of our seats was a Christmas card in an envelope with 1) our names on them, and 2) a number in the corner. As it turned out, after we had dinner (which was all really good) my friend had a big box of things she wanted to get rid of, and we did a "white elephant" gift thing. The number on my envelope was #3, so I picked third, and picked out a set of two battery powered lamps, which my friends daughter "stole" from me when it was her turn, so I got another turn and picked out a watch. My friend made a comment that no one was taking any of the puzzle books in the box, so since I didn't really need a watch, after everyone was done I traded it for a crossword book. One of the men who rents a room from my friend came in while we were having dinner, and when we were all done and people were going home, he wrapped up food for people to take. After she was done cleaning, my friend brought me home, and there was a Christmas present someone had set by my front door. I have yet to open the gifts that I've gotten, so I will get to doing that in a bit. :O) Hoping that you all had a wonderful Christmas Day!
