SCARE on Christmas

We had a scare today with our other kitten Colby. Usually it’s Chomper that we have to worry about because he’s a tad bit accident prone but Colby had a bellyache today. He puked a few times and then just wanted to sleep and not eat. Not like him at all.
So while we were at my sisters for Christmas dinner, I was so worried about him. All these thoughts went through my mind and in my heart I felt that he may have gotten ahold of some tinsel and it was obstructing his bowels.
Don’t ask me why but I always go for worst case scenario. So while I was at my sisters, I contacted 3 vets to see if I could bring him in to any. The emergency vet that I have taken cats to before said they weren’t taking any patients due to the weather but if I needed to and could get there safely then they’d help me.
Well by the time I got home I was having a full blown panic attack and ran up the stairs. Guess what I found…. Colby was fine!!
I was so happy that I started bawling my eyes out and I just have been loud because my mom came running up the stairs.
I know some people won’t understand how much love you can have for an animal but my fur babies are exactly that. They are my BABIES!!
I am so glad they are all happy and healthy and for those that pray, can you please say a little prayer for Colby and Chomper on the 30th??? They are going to get neutered and I’m having alot of anxiety about it. 99% sure they are going to be just fine but I don’t think I could handle it if something happened to either one of them.

That is so nice to hear that Colby was fine when you went and checked on him. It's always hard when our fur babies are sick or not feeling well, because they have no way of telling us what's wrong.
Thank God you had the option to get into a vet if necessary (and thankfully it wasn't necessary), because they could have just as easily said they weren't seeing any animals due to the weather.
We grow so attached to our pets that they literally become part of the family, and we care and love them so much even in the worst of times.
Again, so glad to hear everything was fine. And Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Thank you. I hope you had a merry Christmas too!! The vet I was in contact with said at the time they weren’t taking patients but if I made the trip there if need be then they would t turn me away.
I will do anything to keep my babies healthy.
