Boxing Day.

We went to my brother's house for lunch today. We set off at about 12:10pm and got there at about 12:30pm. We had a cup of tea first and I had green tea. We sat on the corner sofa and drank our tea and chatted. The corner sofa is in their Kitchen/dining/living room. They have under floor heating! Mum said that we hadn't got a Christmas present for their rabbit. Then Ali said that the rabbit had died a few weeks ago. They buried him at the bottom of the garden. Charlie was upset about it for a couple of days, but Noah just said, "Oh, well." ! We went to the table and got ourselves some nibbles. We filled our plates and took them back to the corner sofa with a kitchen towel and a falk for the salad and couscous. I had vegan nibbles. It was very nice but very filling. But I did manage to eat everything that was on my plate. We chatted a lot. I chatted about Doctor Who. I told them about my Doctor Who rewatch and where I was up to. We told each other what we'd had for Christmas. Charlie and Noah had had a soda stream as their main present and they offered me something from it. I had pineapple and mango I think. Charlie brought it over to me and said, "Don't expect it to taste of anything!" It was very nice and it did taste of something! We started getting ready to go home at about 2:45pm. Ali gave me the left over vegan nibbles in some tupperware boxes. That'll do for my lunches for the rest of the week I think! When we were driving home my step-dad missed the turning off the motorway to get to our house. We ended up going all the way round the wreaking and through our city centre and coming to our house from a completely different direction to what we'd planned. Then there was a beeping sound warning my step-dad that his tyre pressure was low. He swore at that! I actually enjoyed our little ride round but my step-dad didn't because I could hear him huffing and puffing under his breath! We were going to go to a friends house to deliver a Christmas present for their dog but because we'd come home from the opposite direction we came home first. My Mum and step-dad went to the loo and then set off again to deliver the present and card but I stayed at home. Because we'd had a big lunch we didn't need to have much dinner. I just had a little yoghurt and some nuts and savoury biscuits for my supper. I hope you had a good boxing day. What did you get up to?

@RubyHawk I'm glad you enjoyed your family visit. And I'm glad you stayed in out of the cold.

Boxing day is the day after Christmas day. You had your Christmas dinner last night? Why so late?
