Just Do Whatever You Want As Long As You Happy

I am happy today. My former campus housemate before the pandemic struck replied to me through Instagram after ages not hearing from her!
At first, I thought she have forgotten about us over here, because she has been ignoring our private messages. She apologised stating that she also had some issues with her life although most of the time she created Instagram stories. I understand that, because it is happening to me currently as well.
I was at the library at that time, so we cannot put on video calls. But we manage to catch up on some parts of our lives and that's enough for me right now.
She took a selfie and mine as well. She was shocked to see my new hairstyle. The last time when she was at our campus, she saw me with long hair. Now, I am determined to stay in short hair until I graduate.
When she heard my reason, she replied. 'Just do whatever you want as long as you happy'. Yes. That word strikes me hard, given a recent situation of 'that person' blocking me on chatting platforms. Yes, I will do whatever I want as long as I am happy.
Nobody can control your life unless you give them the power to control you.
Stay safe, take care.

Yup! Hahah, I don't know why, the more older I go, the lazier I be in fixing my hair. Maybe I also feel lazy to have long hair, because it's been a few years growing and taking care of the long hair, only to be heart broken by someone who 'likes to see me in long hair'. From now, I'll be taking advise from this friend - I will just do what I want to do as long as I am happy. I don't want to care, who don't like to see me in short hair, who cares, it's not them who is taking care of me, it's me after all.

@RebeccasFarm Yes, yes and yes! When there's no light in the shower, we have to bring the light from phone, and hang it with plastic to keep the phone dry. Gosh, I am so thankful to have short hair now, I can even reduce the time to wash, dry and tie my hair.
