Look at it melt! Nah, it’s only going to be in the 40s today so it won’t melt that much. But it’s sunny and the perfect day for a doctor’s appointment. It’s also a good time for the next-to-last song on my list of favorites with “cold” in the title. #2: Cold Front - Webb Wilder Nope, you haven’t heard of him (except from me ). That doesn’t mean this isn’t a good song! And just how did I find this guy? Simple. I walked into my record store hangout and they were playing this album. I was hooked and bought it. And I’ve bought every album he’s done since. AND I’ve seen him half a dozen times. Here he details the problems of trying to impress a “New York woman” who’s “got the rich girl blues.” When daddy is “head cook and bottle washer at a bank or two” it’s going to be, as Webb says at the end, “frosty, man, frosty.” One of my favorite rockers from a seriously underrated musician.
