Former University of Nebraska college football quarterback Tommy Armstrong Junior was visiting his mother Nadine was visiting her home for the holidays in her home in Gulfport Mississippi lives when on Monday night, a fire broke out in the home of his neighbor. Tommy with the help of his mother were able to get members of the family that were inside of the house that caught fire after Tommy did save the life of a young girl by breaking the window inside of her home. Tommy grew up with his neighbor whose home was on fire. Tommy was visiting his home at the time of the fire. Thanks to the actions of Tommy and his mom to rescue the family members who were inside the burning home were not hurt. With the exception of a few family members who were inside the burning home were taken to a local hospital for treatment and released. Even though Tommy is not playing football professionally since he is living currently in Lincoln as an assistant football coach with the Lincoln North Star high school team. Like the old saying goes "Not all heroes were capes."

The picture in the post is Tommy Armstrong Junior. I guess learning the game of football did teach him how to save lives off the field.
