Firstly Merry Christmas, or Happy Winter Season if you don't celebrate Christmas and wishing you a wonderful new year!
We had a few Christmas/holiday gatherings planned but a lot of them got cancelled due to a large winter storm we got. Christmas eve we were supposed to go to a friend's place, but they got sick, so we stayed away. Christmas day a Church friend had some of people over, so we went, played charades, and then ate a delicious ham meal. Directly after the meal momma started having a lot of pain, and on the drive back she made the choice to go to the ER.
We know she has a little bit of scar tissue in her digestive system that creates problems occasionally. They fixed this some number of years ago, but, they only way to fix it is to do surgery, and surgery creates more chances for more scar tissue. That is likely what her pain was from, however, while she was there, they noticed that the kidney infection hadn't fully left her yet. She was doing pretty good , but just wasn't seeming to ever fully get back on her feet so I think the infection never actually left. So it's a good thing in the long run she went back, so that they could catch that and give more antibiotics.
At least we got to have dinner and that was nice. Happily she came home today, so that is good too.
I hope your holiday celebrating was less eventful. A good Christmas gift - momma is home today, feeling pretty well, even turned up the radio in the car.
Here's to good health and successes in the new year!

Thank you so much. So true it is easy to want things, material things, but the true gift is our own health and the health and well being of those around us.

Sorry to hear that, that can be rough, especially around the holidays. I am glad she home and feeling pretty well. That is a nice gift, for sure.

The fingers were my first clue that it was an AI edited photo, but it's still lovely.

@FayeHazel Did you choose a traditional cultural costume for the photo, or was it autogenerated?

@spiderdust This app in particular picks for you. It has a lot, maybe 90 different themes which are mostly cultures through time. You get 8 renderings per theme, and 40 themes per $12 you pay. (I didn't understand that at first and ended up paying double to get all the renderings) Out of the 8 in each theme some are full body, others portrait, and some are really, really bad. :-) This one was from the "Celtic" theme .

Lol yeah AI really gets some things wrong. Fun to see it's take on things though.
