A New Year and Broken Water Lines

One more day and we’ll begin a new year. I wish everyone a bright, happy 2023. I hope we all make it through the new year with little stress and less trouble. than this year. People in our complex will begin with. water damage. The broken water pipes are repaired but damages in the apartments will take longer.
I was lucky not to have frozen pipes, but my;neighbor downstairs wasn’t so lucky.. Her water lines broke and damaged her apartment.. Her stove also broke down and she’s on the list for a stove and repairs but maintenance is moving slowly. I feel bad for everyone on the waiting list.

I am sorry to hear that fir your neighbor, I was so afraid my pipes would burst, but they didn't, and I am so very glad.

@RasmaSandra, our water here is also problematic for almost 2 years now. We suffer off and on of water.. Happy New Year.

I am glad your pipes are okay. I even feel sorry for maintenance. I am sure not just your apartment, but many in the whole area are damaged and that is a total mess. Wishing you a happy new year as well.

Bay City is in Michigan. That city went through replacing water lines, two winters ago. What an awful circumstance for people to endure!

@RubyHawk The temperature can't be controlled. So when it drops down, water pipes can freeze and break. This is terrible, yet I'm glad that you don't have water damage
