What Do You Think?

I passed by an area and saw this odd sight: an unfortunate boat/canoe under the water! I returned 2-3 weeks later, that boat/canoe was still under the water. It disappeared a few days before Christmas. That sunken boat made me think of life in general... as in, 'Everyone seems to be OK but for me', that sort of thing . --- But then again, could it be that the owner did it intentionally: giving it a soak before doing a big repair? Does anyone here know anything about boat/canoe?

and no one bothered to check up on it, incredible, right? (I was fascinated with the whole thing since I always thought people with boats/canoes are very wealthy and they loved their toys!!!

I hope the owner repaired the boat. I love riding on a boat.

these boats are not cheap, am I right? Sounds like a waste if the owner just let it sink for nothing.

There may be a reason for it which we have no clue about...

It happens here time by time that a small boat sinks and it takes days before the owner comes to take care of the boat. The reason is very simple, those are boats owned by people who only has a vacation apartment here.

@YrNemo - They usually contact the owners, but if the owners have a job and lives far from the place usually they wait to come when there are a few days vacations.

so that might have been the reason! I thought others would try contacting the owner somehow (as in, as fast as possible) but nothing was done to it until around Christmas time.

and perhaps the owner said, 'well, I will just leave you here until I find some time to do something about it!!!'

By its looks, the boat looks fine and with a good repair it could still navigate a few years more

You seem to know something about boats . I know nothing about them, but this one looks sturdy enough. The sight was a bit funny to me.
