Do you have high hopes for 2023?

I probably shouldn't.
But I do. I want so much for 2023.
I want my friends and family to be well and happy. I really want my son well. I won't give up, ever, on wanting that, of course. If I could hope and wish for more, I would have to wish that the world we live in now was much less turbulent, happier, healthier, and at least more peaceful than it is now.
I know I can't have all of that, and I know most of it is out of my control. But I can still have hope, and still wish for better times. I celebrate all of my small victories.
Do you have some 2023 wishes?

Yes, my biggest hope is for my son to come back from Brazil this year. He says he will, but he says lots of things. Time will tell.

I am scraped bare. 2023 has to be better. Has to. I hope to find a way to get my husband into the gym pool. I think I need to knuckle down and go for the long car drive that will take us to the ocean area;; last time we tried we got bored of the drive. Its time for me to stick to it. I want to figure more out about using the land that goes with our house. I'd love to harvest some fresh strawberries.

That's a lot of things to accomplish, just try for one at a time, you'll get there.

I want my family to be happy and well cared for, in 2023. Also, that every financial struggle would be alleviated. That our health would be fully restored, through God's mighty power.

I would think that would be what everyone would want, but unfortunately there are some truly evil people out there.

Health and happiness and stability. If I have all of that, I'll be great.

@MarieCoyle I don't even need a lot of money if I have that. Everything else would fall into place.

Well, Covid officially started in Feb-March 2020, and it's nearly Feb. 2023, so here that is nearly 3 years. Pandemics do not usually end quickly and this one sure isn't.

I don't think I even know what normal is now, after 3 years of Covid and my son's accident and illness. I just want...things to be calm and him to be well, and everyone healthy.

I hope all of your wishes come true. I hope that war is over in the Ukraine and everyone has a peaceful, happy, safe and prosperous new year. Happy New Year!

Yes, we do. Sometimes, hope is the only thing that keeps us going.

I understand that statement. I don't want hope to die, either.
