Retirement has made George more agreeable.

Normally, if I told George I needed to go somewhere, he'd complain. But, now that he's retired, he's more agreeable about it. It's good knowing that I can give him a head's up, and he's willing to do things and take me places. Which comes in handy when I really need something. I also caught him before he really started drinking... so... I think that helps. On another note, the plumber who installed our hot water heater is back. There was a problem with the disconnect box, so we're having that replaced. Didn't think we'd be using that one year labor free warranty so soon after install. But, eventually I'm going to want to take a bath.

Retired people like to find things to keep themselves busy.

@kaylachan I have retired two months ago and started to feel that I am becoming lazy now.

@mayka123 Well, for George, my husband, it's only been a month. Give yourself time. Remember you are supposed to enjoy retirement.

Things happen, and it’s not always the installation problem. I’m glad something “went wrong” while it was under warranty and not two days after the warranty expired. I’m glad George is enjoying retirement.

That's wonderful. George has retired and he's free to do what he pleased. I know he must enjoy his retirement together with you. Take time both of you.

Retiring has been hard on both of us. The days seem to go on and on, but we are finally starting to get the hang of it. :) Believe it or not... our present house doesn't have a bathtub.. and I'm really missing it. Showers can be really boring, Next house will definitely have a bathtub if I have anything to say about it!!
