You are what you eat or don't eat.
Hubby has been ill for a long time now. He is not eating much and can't eat much due to nausea. We went to a surgeon today. Hubby has lost toward 14 pounds in about two weeks. Not cool. Doc set up an endoscopy test and a colonoscopy test. Nurse came back and said that would happen the first of February.
I looked at Nurse and asked HOW do we keep hubby going until then? He basically will be a whole lot smaller by then, eating the way he is now.
She left and made some adjustments with the schedule and who ever. Hubby's big rule out tests will happen next week NOT February first. Yes it will be on my birthday but that is okay. We need the test done sooner than later. I can only hope these tests do not show big issues.

What a situation. The not knowing. Am glad to hear you are able to get him in sooner. My thoughts are with you. Positive energy your way. You know about the RAT diet right? It is for people who have nausea issues, etc.

@sallypup .......Yes, BRAT not RAT. Sorry. .It's rice, apple sauce, toast and bananas. Easy to digest.

Make notes of what he eats when he feels the nausea coming on. When the company changes preservatives they made me sick.
It'll be alright.

@andriaperry Interesting point. One manufacturer of Mac N Cheese may have different preservatives than another. Certain textures bother him now differently than in the past. He has been able to eat a bowl of oatmeal with milk and a little brown sugar and after that breakfast the day goes down hill.

@andriaperry Yes. Type two, Had very high numbers but that should be lowered now. Can all this be blamed on diabetes??

@sallypup It doesn’t sound good, he needs to find out what it is. If they don’t find anything with this test. Ask the doctor to check his pancreas. About seven years I had the same symptoms and had to have part of my pancreas taken out. It took the doctor weeks to find what it was.

I'm glad the tests have been moved sooner. That's a lot of time between now and February.

That's a lot of weight loss, basically averaging a pound per day. I hope they get it figured out ASAP and find a solution. I'm sure this is as hard on you as it is on him. Glad they moved up the appointment, that was good!

Wishing your hubby a safe test. In the meantime see that he takes lot of fresh fruits and vegetables and some carb too for weight maintenance.

Happy Birthday early. I know it is not how you want to spend your birthday but you want Hubby to be ok. The good news is if the tests turn out fine and there is nothing else wrong then that to me would be a good birthday present for you but since I do not know you I do not know if it would be a good present or not.

if you have stomach acid, you have to eat regularly and you can't eat spicy food, which I just found out about.
