Maybe there is a God. He is good. He is great. But what about religion? Should religion teach us to work ourselves and sort out our existent problems or should religion teach us to depend on One God? What is right on religion’s part?
How is success best achieved? When the son gets his father’s huge property or when he works to build maybe a small house?

Success is relative and not the same in every situation. A son inheriting a huge property from his parents can still be considered successful beacuse he needs to be able to maintain that... If he builds his own home he is also successful if he keeps that roof over his head, he needs to furnish it, pay the bills and maintain the garden... Even if he eats 2 minute noodles.

I am not a big fan of "religion" per se. But I am a huge fan of faith in God. There is a saying that goes, "God helps those who help themselves." I don't think it's in the Bible actually, but what it says to me is that we can't just sit around and wait for God to do something. We have to get busy and follow the path we think God has for us, and that usually involves work of some kind. The Bible does say everyone should have some type of work so we can have something to give to those in need. And I think people who work to get what they achieve are a LOT happier and self-confident than those who just get things handed to them.
