An alligator that was resting on a highway in Louisiana rescued by police

It is nice to see that a driver who was driving on Louisiana State Highway 1 near Clouteirville which is located in Natchitoches Parish decided to assist a Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Department Deputy who was called into service to remove an alligator from the road.
The name of the driver and deputy were not mentioned in the story that took place on Monday afternoon.
What makes this story great is that the driver of the auto assisted the deputy to remove the alligator from the highway since teamwork is the best way to solve problems in the case of an alligator who decided to get out of his home in the pond and take a rest on a state highway.
Thanks to the teamwork of the deputy and the driver, the alligator was released from the area of the incident as the alligator went to a pond safely.

Does the alligator grow as big as crocodile? I thought before that alligator and crocodile are one? Aren't they?

I think that alligators are usually the same size or crocodiles even though I have never seen any of them in person.

That is true since some drivers would not have been to see the alligator on the road would have run over the animal on purpose.
