The creek after the storm

After the rain a few days ago I walked down to the creek to see how high the water was. It was almost to the top of the banks and swift. If an animal had fallen in the creek it would have been swept down stream. I saw a few squirrels but no other animals in the vicinity. That was after the storm that lasted all night and most of the day.. Now the suns been out a couple of days and the creeks nearly back to normal. I had a nice long walk this morning and enjoyed the sunny day. How’s the weather at your place?

We can see the river from our house the water is really high here. It rains all winter here.

I think our rainy days and sunny days are about equal.Sometimes we have more sunny days and something more rainy days.

Glad that animals safe and none slip in the creek The weather is quiet hot for the last two days in my place. But I am glad because my laundry is dry off

It's neat but scary seeing a creek turn into a river

. Does it run into a body of water? Glad you enjoyed a sunny day. We had a couple days of sun and now we're back to gray again . . . it's supposed to rain all this week.

@much2say The apartments are about halfway down the hill so our parking is never flooded. I feel sorry for people who are. I think our area is beautiful too, we have the river and many public parks, but so many subdivisions and apartment buildings. Traffic is terrible.

Yes, the creek runs into the Chattahoochee River. I enjoyed our few sunny days but it’s raining again tonight.

It's always nice to get rain but sometimes we get too much. I hope you'll get a couple more warm sunny days That doesn't happen often here and right now it's typically dry. It's icy cold right now at 29f but should reach at least 64f this afternoon.

We had a couple of sunny days after the storm but rains coming in again tonight. It’s thickly overcast now. 29 degrees is cold. It was 35 degrees here last night.

No floods here that I know of. We have a few rainy days and sunny days. It was colder today. The wind was blowing so cold I shortened my walk.

@RubyHawk because of the continuous rain it eventually flooded too but in areas with low terrain. I'm grateful to be in a rather high place.
