What are they doing?

My sister had her baby 31 years ago at a hospital in the next county over from the one that I am sadly living in now. Due to an doctor error she couldn't have any more children. Through the years we have heard of many other bad stories of treatment at that hospital. A few months ago my grandson had a bad fever and we went to take him to the hospital in our county but it was very crowded that night. So my daughter decided to take him to that hospital in the next county over.. The floors were not clean, dust and lint under chairs! Then we couldn't find a tissue and the nurses didn't know where they were. As I discussed before on Wednesday I went to the ER at the hospital in our county for my back and the Nurse Practioner said that she was going to give me two prescriptions for medications. My daughter went and picked the prescription up that night and because of the way the dosage was for those Steroids I had to wait until morning to start taking them. Further reading on the papers said nothing about the Arthritis in my back that the Nurse Practioner was talking to me about just about the Sciatica in my hips! And it did mention to call a doctor on there for a follow up the she said was a spine specialist. However on the paper it says that he is a Spinal Surgeon and she had already told me that I don't need surgery! When I called there to make an appointment I was told that because I don't need surgery I cannot see the doctor just another Nurse Practioner. That she sees on the computer system how she did say another medication but didn't order it and that I need to call that ER back and tell them that she apparently forgot to order it and to please call it in to the pharmacy. So looking on the papers for the phone number I see that the hospital that I went to is owned by the dirty hospital and that the Spine Facility is too! I called the ER there and was told that every doctor does things their own way and that if I want another med or something different then I need to come back in to the ER and be reexamined, x rays and urine test all over,

I do not know in which country this happened, but this does not sound to be a smart system.

I don't trust hospital, big pharma and doctor that much. I avoid them as much as I can

Me too, this is the first time I have been to a hospital in years. But it was getting to where I could barely move and it's still that way.

Its a joke that is for sure and for some reason its socialism if we fix this and why it never will get fixed.

I hope you get a better solution soon. Sciatica deals with an inflamed nerve that runs from the bottom area of your back and down your leg. I know the pain too well.

I know Sciatica is one of the symptoms I have due to having Fibromyalgia. I have had pain from it before but never like this! No it's not fun at all. I really thought I was dying several times and I am one that handle pain well.

If I can get a ride I certainly will. I wanted to then but I had to go by ambulance and they will only take you where they want to!
