Found answers to some of my questions...in my religion

You never know when the right person will just say hello to you, and the conversation will lead to removal of the doubts you have had for ages.
I pride myself to be logical. So I question. Do not follow everything blindly, unless I have not thought about the issue deeply enough to have doubts.
Over the years, I have had plenty of doubts in my religion. Option to convert have also been presented. But I have clung to my religion hoping that somebody would have some answers. If I go into another religion, and have doubts there, the set of people I know would be lesser. That way, if I have doubts, I may never get answers, and would die as non-believer, even if I did everything ritualistically. Because I am born a Hindu, my circle of friends has more Hindus, and they cannot be answering about another religion, can they?
So yeah, I have a few answers now, which I could share...not all answers are there with me. I may also not have had a few doubts, which I should.
All I can say is, now when I bow my head before god ..utter prayers or listen to them, my heart is more believing.
Have you also gone through similar phase of doubts and rekindled belief? It doesn't mean I don't believe your religion is true. It just means that I believe in god....

I am with you about that. The person who cleared my doubts has hardly been in touch with me since then. Kinda, she was sent just to clarify the doubts and then disappear I think. I do hope she will reappear. After all, she has managed to make me feel more safe and grounded.

It's normal to have those times. The main thing is to keep looking for the answers.

believe in what you believe.
sometimes logic does not match the reality that God has shown us

How true. I have asked help from gods innumerable times, and received it...from different gods as well. But each time logic ruled...and while initial thankfulness was there, it immediately got replaced by ..logical summation. Now, I find some help coming my way for which I cannot attribute any logic.
What I don't understand or find contradictory in the religion, I tend to tell me, I have yet to come across the logic in that belief. Once I do, my faith will be reinforced. So kinda, I use tentative stubs as like in software programming.

Belief escapes me but I have respect for the beliefs of everyone.

@marguicha He possibly thinks you are a good soul, even without believing in religion, you have followed it. So last moment help is all that is needed. :) I think he always comes...don't worry.

I have always had faith in the Lord. I pray each day a morning prayer I made up myself and The Lord's Prayer at night. I find it best to pray in my parents' language that I learned Latvian.

You might make a good Jew. One of the things I like about Judaism is that people are ENCOURAGED to question. But the answer to your question is "yes." There are times when I "feel" the presence of God and know I'm "doing the right thing." Often it's when I'm "playing" with a 1-year-old.

I'm with Anna on this one. I don't go to church anymore; but I am still a strong believer.

I go to temples when I feel like going. That is how I have become. Feeling is not essentially when I want something from god. Nor when I am not at peace. Or any good days. Just when I feel, today I want to go to god. That is how it is...nowadays.
