Good morning again.

I was just about asleep when the alarm went off that told me it was time to get up and get she child up. Thank goodness getting her to bed earlier last night paid off, this morning was painless. She didn't even fuss too much that the hoodie that she wanted to wear wasn't dry yet. We changed her bed time to 9 when she started fourth grade in the fall. She does pretty good with it usually and some nights she asks to go to bed earlier, however these last few nights she has been wanting to stay up late and the morning after have been a little rocky. So we decided she'd try 830 last night. It did the trick. Anyway. We don't have to be up till 830 or 9, so I'll either fall back asleep or hang out here for a little while. Hope everyone has a good day.

Not getting enough sleep certainly impacts on a child's behaviour. I'm glad getting she child up and away was painless.

She has been super whiney the last few days regardless of sleep, if she doesn't get her way she has started throwing fits or pouting. She does it here and at grandmas, and we have had to get on to her and explain that that is not how it works and it won't be going tht way. But she's probably going to bed here in about an hour.

I was quite successful with setting a sleeping/waking up timetable for my first two. The discipline was sort of painless. Discipline the third one, who is much younger than the first two, was very difficult. Glad to hear that your little one responds well to schedules. Congrats .

She's just getting older and thinking she should be allowed to stay up later. Especially since her brother is staying with his mom right now. I sat her down and explained to her if she was going to stay up late she needed to understand I wasn't going to deal with whining and sassing and attitude in the morning. If she wants to act older she needs to be responsible for her actions
