my sister left the room then I was right behind her but instead she pulled the door to the room and as a result the door hit me in the face, to be precise on the cheek it felt quite sore and there was red then I immediately compressed it with ice cubes My sister apologized to me because she didn't realize I was behind her

Ouch! Yes, ice would allow the bump to subside. Cold compress could minimize the pain and the swelling and hot compress would enhance the healing of the damaged cells or tissues.
