yesterday I intended to make chiffon sponge cake after seeing the recipe on YouTube but there were 2 ingredients that weren't at home, so I took the initiative to replace these ingredients with others the dough is ready, but my mother said it looks like it's too runny but I don't think so I poured the mixture into the tin and after pouring it I realized that the mixture was indeed too runny and was a little doubtful about the result but I still continue the baking process I'm ready to accept whatever the result will be even though I feel like this dough has failed ?? and after waiting for 1 hour sure enough the dough didn't expand as expected but it tasted good like regular sponge cake then I will try again if there is time xixi

It's not a "mistake" if it still tastes good.

If it tasted good than it was not a failure. Taste is all that matters.
