First salary

Good evening friends As I already wrote, my brother was here with his children, he left today. I feel very tired, but I turned on the washing machine, as well as the dishes so that I have less to clean tomorrow. Since his children are 5 and 3 years old, then you know that the house is like a bomb. It is now 8:20 pm here and I have to make dinner for my son who comes home around 11:30 pm. Old members know that I have a son who is now 20 years old, and he got a job a month ago. I must admit that I was happier than him. At least it seemed that way. This is his first serious job, so I sincerely hope that he will only improve now. In a few days he should receive his first salary, and he has already planned how he will spend it. Do you remember what you spent your first paycheck on?

Glad to hear your son has a job! Is he still seeing his girlfriend? I’m sure I spent my first paycheck on nail polish. What else could I buy for $3 from babysitting.

Oh, I'm happy to see you here. I heard you disappeared. How are you? He's not with that girl anymore. But I must admit that after that relationship he became more cheerful, and he started going out. I definitely think you spent that money in the best way.

I am sure your son will be so excited to receive his first salary. I remember very well how I spent my firs paycheck, a gift for my mom, one for my dad, one for my brother and another for my grandmother who lived with us. I was so proud that I could finally buy something for them with my own money.

Yes, I think many of us used our first money to buy gifts for our loved ones. I'm not sure that today's kids think like that. I have to admit that I expect something small from my son, and I told him that, and he just smiles.

I'm sure he's really happy to have a real job. My memory doesn't go back far enough to remember what I did with my first paycheck 42 years ago.

@Icydoll He works in a factory for the production of solid wood furniture. I don't know the details, but he says they are expensive pieces. Oh yeah, he said he wanted to invest in fixing his car. Of course I rebelled and asked him if he would buy me something too.

Your question reminds me of my first job, which was a sweatshop. I went to work at 8:00 in the morning and got off work at 10:00 in the evening. I resigned after working for three months. My money was spent on food, clothing and use.

@Nevena83 The electronics factory is not difficult, but they require speed, and it takes a long time. My face is a little allergic, and I have a lot of pimples. It took me three months to recover after resigning

I started my first job when I was 14 years old, working during the summer to earn money. I saved every paycheck from the time I was 14 to when I turned 16, so that I could buy a car when I received my driver's license.

@Nevena83 No one told me to save. I just decided on my own that I wanted to buy a car as soon as I was old enough to drive.

Congratulations to your son for his job. I also got my first serious jon around that age. I mean serious because I used to have part time working and practicing at my aunt's travel agency. I cannot recall anymore how I spent but I knew I bought gifts for my godchildren because it happened that I got hired towards Christmas time.

It is always hard to get used to the routine of a first job, I only remember that when I got my first paycheck I took my mom to dinner, But that was in the early 1980s and prices at restaurants were still reasonable,
