Donna Hargett who is a resident of Monrovia California saw a male bear swimming inside of her swimming on Saturday despite the rainy weather at the same time. The black bear swam a few laps inside of her swimming pool when the bear decided to get out of the swimming pool and he decided to walk back to his home in the forest without causing any harm. The reason Donna did not call the authorities to remove the bear from the swimming pool was because the bear was not making any moves to harm anyone.

He must have been a nice peaceful bear who wanted to swim in the pool.

Based on the story that was told by Donna told the reporters, the bear enjoyed his time swimming in the pool before he decided to leave and go home.

@RubyHawk I do not ever remember a bear having swimming skills myself.

@Deepizzaguy I suppose bears enjoy swimming. I'd never thought about a bear swimming.

How cute! Glad he just walked back home cause I'd hate to hear of the authorities having to shoot him to put him to sleep and then take him home. That's what I'd hope they'd do anyway. Glad he's okay and had a nice swim with nothing bad happens.

Since the bear was a black bear who are known for being tame, the bear just wanted to enjoy a swim and not harm anyone.

That's amazing. I wonder if the bear will return one day for another swim.

It is likely that the bear will return to the swimming pool shortly.

I'm glad the bear was able to get out on its own and wasn't in any stress.

I share the same feelings since black bears are usually timid when they see humans.

I know if I was a bear walking in a rainstorm, I would want to enter a swimming pool as well.
