I could be tidying a closet or washing dishes. I could even take a nap. I could scribble something somewhere- probably not on a wall but there is paper around. Or I could find a red checked sweater and try it on long suffering Rufus dog. I can't believe we've lived with the little guy for almost two years. Never a dull moment with Mr. Barker Boy. No animal was harmed in the making or production of the photo. Just don't ask Rufus for his opinion. He probably will give it. Loudly.

@JamesHxstatic That's a can of worms question though innocent. Yes handsome Rufus may be our only dog from now on. He is nasty to smaller dogs. Oh God the truth plain hurts: two years ago dear Leah pup developed cancer and we had to say goodbye. Last Spring old age and cancer took Sally from us. We moved West, adopted Annie from a bad situation and she was with us for five months. Ruptured spleen. Too spendy to keep her though she was young. The sweet kitty in my avator is Sonny James. Old age put him in the Summer Lands a few months ago. I guess I should have just said yes to your question. My household is still stunned.

@sallypup Oh, that is a lot of loss to get through and painful to recount. I hope Rufus fills the bill. My daughter's Chihuahua, named Hua, is 6 or 7 now. I am her granddog and keep her soemtimes when Emily needs to go somewhere overnight. They live in Portland still.

I have seen some dogs that LOVED being "dressed-up" and some that really didn't like it at all. I usually just shake my head at the things the poor dogs have to put up with.
