Beautiful Morticia

I am sure many of you will recognize the name as one of the main characters and the wife of Gomez Addams in The Addams Family movies. Well, I was watching the movies when Michelle came to sit next to me. It seemed like she was very interested in the movies. Whenever the name Morticia was mentioned she meowed and seemed ecstatic. I looked at her and figured that since Morticia had long black hair and always wore long black dresses my cat was comparing her sleek black self to the character. So I said all right Morticia and she perked up her ears right away so she has been renamed to a name she herself prefers. She responds to both Morticia and Tish and whenever any one of my cats would meow at me I would always respond by saying I don’t speak cat. Now I say to her Tish you speak French or whatever her language really is. As they say in French C’est la vie! This reminds me of a delightful Sonny and Cher song “Sing C’est La Vie.” Enjoy.
A question to those who read this post what does C’est la vie mean in English?

Such is life would be a way of translating it. I agree with your cat that Morticia is a glamorous character.

@marguicha she acts like a movie star so I guess that was the reason she liked the sound of this name better, I have already gotten used to calling her Morticia,

She is a lovey animal. She looks part Siamese.
C’est la vie mean in English "That's life". I often see them shrugging their shoulders when they say it.

Tish is really black. If it were not for her eyes open. Tish would have been an adequate character in the Addams Family. Ces´t la vie means That´s how life is

@RebeccasFarm now I just call Tish and she looks my way before I could say Missy or Michelle and she did not even budge, To her that was not the name she cared for so good that I watched my Addams Family movies and she heard that name or sound whatever cats pick up, But I have to agree with her Morticia suits her much better,
