Do you have a Chinatown in your area?

Happy Chinese New Year to our Chinese friends here. I’m not Chinese but I have some students who have to cancel class because of their holiday. My sister-in-law is married to a Filipino-Chinese guy and she sent us some tikoy or lucky Chinese sweetened rice cake. Yey! In my city, we have a Chinatown and the Dragon dance organized by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce was televised so that those who were not in the area could see it live in their house. We Filipinos owe it to our Chinese ancestors our love for the art of business and trade among others. And of course, Chinese food. What’s your favorite Chinese food? Photo is of the arc entrance to the Chinatown in my city.

No, no Chinatown close to where I live. We do like some Chinese food, though. (I say "some" because we haven't tried all that many Chinese dishes.)

I don't think there's a Chinatown near my place not even in the city but the Chinese Chamber of Commerce had their own celebration. My favourite restaurant David's Tea House was closed because it's for the exclusive use of the chamber. Can't enumerate all the foods I like lol plenty of it. I like the Polland Hopia, misua pato, vegetable lumpia, Tikoy, sweet and sour fish, dumplings, siopao, porridge, mami lol so many.

We do not have a Chinatown in the city I live in, but I have been to the Chinatown in New York City and the Chinatown in San Fransisco. Wonderful places. I love Chinese culture. I don't know if I have a favorite Chinese food, because I love it all.

I am still a little surprised to hear that some of your students cancelled the class because of the holiday. I know the Chinese New Year is an important festival for Chinese, but we also pay attention to the study. I think it is still OK for them to celebrate it after school

We have a lot of Chinese citizens here and a number of Chinese restaurants. But the food is probably 'dumbed down' to suit Western tastes.

Our Chinatown is in downtown. We also have pockets of Chinese communities (not locally, but in and around L.A.). My brother in law is Vietnamese-Chinese. I love Chinese food of any kind!!!

We don't like china and Chinese things because of the recent sort of cold war. We had tension on the border. Since then our government has banned Chinese apps like tik tok and others. Happy Chinese new year.
