This was not a movie that I had planned to watch.
Yet one of my child got an assignment to watch this movie and answer some questions based on the movie.
We got this link to watch the movie:
The King's Speech-
While the movie is well made, it has some dull moments.
Nevetheless, it is based on a real life phase of King George VI and the portrayal is very close to the reality.
Colin Firth plays King George VI, Geoffrey Rush as Lionel Logue and
Helena Bonham Carter as Queen Elizabeth(wife of King George VI).
I later read that this movie not only got critical acclaim but also won Oscar for Best Actor, Director(Tom Hooper)as well as some other sections.
It also won some other awards.
So yes, a critical acclaim movie but one to be watched when in a mood to watch such a movie.
Have you watched this movie?
Some information taken from Wikipedia.

Even I have a big list.
Plus a list of topics to be shared in Mylot including a personal book review.
A few things sometimes just drag on!

And I again have Finances in a bit of a mess, due to multiple factors.
Then, some medical treatments, tests and associated disruptions.
I also have to get my driving license renewed, car serviced as well as Annual Performance review is around the corner!!
That makes me remember Akshay Kumar's dialog
"Bacche ki Jaan loge kya?"
"Will you take away the life of this little soul?"

I have heard of the motion picture being a contender for an Oscar but I have never seen it.

While not a very exciting or gripping movie, it does makes for a good one time watch.

Some are good movies as well. But some do look like boring or "ultra-realistic".

I have watched it more than once and I loved it. I did not find dull moments in it. It depends on each pearson.

Agrees, it depends a lot upon our personal movie and story preferences but yes, it is an overall well made movie.

Yes a movie to be on the watch list.
Geoffrey Rush was also excellent as a support actor.

Yes, you can give it a try.
At times, the movie can seem to drag but there are some interesting moments though.

A high point was the interaction between Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush who plays Lionel.
