The police punished us

Good day friends
I cleared my notifications yesterday but I couldn't be active because I felt tired. I'm trying to clean up the house a little today, but I'm not in the mood for it.
The trip to Bosnia went well, my son was driving, but we also got a fine, because we didn't put a P sign on the car to indicate that a person with a probationary license was behind the wheel. I hate it when that happens, because giving money to the police is like throwing it away to me.
Do the police fine you in traffic?

@Nevena83 Once, because our car started off when the light turned from green to yellow. And the other time the driver went into a no driving lane by mistake.
One time the fine was around $6. The next time the driver pleaded to the police and he let us go without any fine but a warning.

The police can write a ticket if they believe something is wrong but we go before a judge and can argue about it if we choose. If the judge determines we were wrong, then they issue a fine and we pay it before leaving the building.

@Nevena83 That reduction in the fine would definitely have most people just paying instead of going to court. But I've gotten the entire ticket/fine thrown out by going before a judge.

@DaddyEvil There is a possibility here, when it comes to more serious offenses, to go to the police and make a deal, by admitting the crime and they will determine the minimum sentence for that offense and then you don't have to go to court.

Glad your trip to Bosnia went well but sorry to hear that you got a fine from the police.

@Nevena83 that's always the way isn't it. Of course there's never a good time to get a fine but it always seems it comes at the least favorable time

He just paid the fine and everything is fine. But since he is a novice driver, his driving license is on probation and the penalties are more severe for those drivers.

Here too, people give money just so the police don't write a ticket, but that's bribing the police, so I haven't tried to do that yet.
