Writing letters, long or short

How often do you write letters, actual letters? Yesterday, I started to write a letter to one of my granddaughters. I thought it would be a short note. I surprised myself when I realized I had written 4 pages. I hope she enjoys her letter from Grandma. I don't usually write long letters. Most of the time, it is a quick, short letter of one or two pages. Just to let the person know I was thinking about them that day.
