Hippocrates : does the name come frrom hypocrite?

So I read a twiit about Hippocrates, he is the father of science medicine. Perhaps you have ever heard some of his quotes about health. Then I wondered, where did his name come from? I can only think hypocrite. Then in sudden, I questioned again of all his quotes. Do you agree with all his quotes/theory? Or you will dig for more?

No. It has nothing to do with hypocrisy. However, it has EVERYTHING to do with the Hippocratic Oath sworn by doctors.

Absolutely NOT! The name Hippocrates has no relation to the term 'hypocrite'. Hypocrite is from the Greek word hypokrites, which means “an actor” or “a stage player.” This makes a lot of sense.

The pronounce of hypocrite and hippocrates is not far different in my ear. If the meaning is actor or stage player, could it be everything that he said is a stage too?

@ifa225 The pronounce is totally different Hippocrates was a Greek physician, MUST be always capitalized.

I don't have extensive knowledge about Hippocrates. His theories are no longer followed in modern medical science.
