I have a friend who was victimised twice by scammers. One involved her online order, where she received a confirmation phone call about her order. She was asked details of her credit card, which she unsuspectedly gave. She was charged twice. The other payment went to another account. She complained to her bank, who traced the scam payment, but the account had been closed and can’t be refunded. Have you ever been scammed or knew of someone who was? My friend was scammed but they were able to stop any harm being done. Some scammers are very sophisticated.

Almost. My bank called me before the transaction went through. Glad they did. I am sorry for your friend.

That is sad that she got scammed. I only pay online if the seller takes pay pal.

No, I never give my credit card details by mail or by phone and I only trust very few online stores. I prefer to pay with PayPal for online orders.
