A gentleman

Yesterday I brought my son for therapy - since he is diagnosed with ASD, I need to bring him everyweek for therapy. On the way to hospital I saw a couple walk side by side and hold a hand to each other then once they arrived to their car, the old man open the door to the woman and hold the bag for her and help her to get in the car. It was really lovely moment to see. One of many thing that I love about Italy, there are so many lovely old couple on the streets, make me believe that true love still exists. This is the opposite on the country where I lived before, it's very rare to find old couple hold on each other. How about your country?

I rarely see couples holding hands in my part of the US. When I do see a couple touching, it's normally a young couple and the guy's hand is in the woman's back pants pocket. It doesn't look romantic.

@Mrlnvk In the big cities on either side of us you can also see gay men holding hands. That doesn't make me think "romantic", either.

@DaddyEvil I am not anti lgbt but I am just not into those things also until think it is cute but also I never see those kind of things in my life, seems I live in cave

It is the same here in the south of Switzerland. My husband and I went for a long walk today and met many couples no more young (we also are no more young). They walk hand in hand and when we cross other people we always exchange a smile and a "have a good day".

Although I am not THAT old, my husband does the same thing for me. I’ve seen many other gentlemen in the US. Then again, I haven’t seen too many

Indeed, on the 1st time I arrived in Italy - even until now actually, it's always amazed me how lovely the old couple like that, give a prove that true love still exists
