Driver in New Hampshire escapes injury from a winter storm

A male driver who lives in Lee New Hampshire is lucky not to have suffered any serious injuries when he was behind the wheel on Monday when he heard "an odd sound." during a winter storm.
Just after the driver heard the "odd sound", he managed to get out of his auto when a tree branch fell into his windshield.
The driver did not suffer any injuries from the fallen tree branch that broke his windshield.
The Lee Police Department issued a statement begging drivers to stay off of the roads during a winter storm because flying objects will strike any auto and cause injuries to drivers on the road.

That is a good question since when a major storm comes to my area, the television personalities beg the residents of the town to stay off of the roads since the first responders need to be on the road to rescue accident victims during the storm.

I agree with you that the driver is lucky not to have been injured in the accident with the tree branch falling into the windshield.

That is a very narrow escape !!
This was good for the Driver but yes, driving in such a weather is always dangerous.

Everybody from the newscasters to law enforcement officials beg motorists to stay off of the road due to first responders on mission to rescue injured motorists.

That is true. I remember many public officials on television begging persons to stay home during weather spots that are dangerous like rainstorms and snowy roads.

That is one of my fears that a tree that is located in my backyard will fall down and damage the fence that separates the two properties.
