Please share your tips for dealing with winter weather. Anything from what you keep in your emergency kits, driving in snow, shoveling snow, to how you deal with cabin fever and any special activities you do with your children?

I live in Northern Florida so we don't get severe weather. It does get cold however. I used to live in the Appalachian Mountains and we would frequently lose power in the winter months. We never had to really worry about going without heat for any prolonged period of time. I always kept candles and lighters and flashlights placed in strategic spots throughout the house so that they could be reached quickly in the event of a blackout.

Neat! Appalachian Mountains are beautiful! I live in south central PA, so I'm a bit familiar with it.

Well am not particularly knowledgable about cabin fever but all i can say is that it depends as to how the winters are like at your place If you know it is too cold then prefer wearing a thermal jacket and probably an inner It will help for sure

Just in case you don't know what I mean... "Cabin fever" means that you've been couped up in the house for so long that everyone is going bonkers and getting on each others nerves to the point that you just HAVE to get out of the house. LOL

Always have a shovel, blanket, water and food in your car during the winter.
