I think I have solved the storage problem,I ordered a bunch of the lidded boxes and some of the ones that look like suitcases and they have clear plastic in the front so I can see what's in them,It has made a big difference when I open the closet dor everything doesn.t fall out

I usually tape a list to the outside of the box so that I don't have to go digging through boxes for an item.

I do the same as @Juliaacv, I tape a list to the outside with the content of the box.

I tape a list to the front of the plastic bins so I know what's in each one without opening it.

That's a great idea. I've just ordered a rolling shelf unit for one of my closets. Its pretty long and narrow.
