During the pandemic we got introduced to a new kind of lifestyle about which I need not elaborate. My question is are you stuck with it or have you now gone back to your old ways. I still spray a disinfectant after the visitors have left. I wash my hands more often than I used to prior to the pandemic. I no longer wash stuff that I bought. I still wait for a couple of days before opening parcels that I received from couriers and what guests bring. I do not hug anyone nor shake hands - and this I miss very much Are you back with your old lifestyle? Not quiet, I wear a mask when I go out and I wash my hands often. My son had covid a couple of months ago, and now my sister has it. My brother and his wife are just getting over covid. Three of my grandchildren have had covid. Covid is a long way from being over.

Well, I still wear a mask when I shop in stores. I have always been a compulsive hand washer. If I buy clothing, I always wash it before I wear it. I am not one to hug people I don't know really well, but I did shake hands with someone I had not seen for a long time yesterday.

Were your hands sanitized before you shook hands? I sanitize my hands even now

@JamesHxstatic My niece, her husband and one of her boys visited us. They are settled in Australia. How I longed to hug them but did not. After they left I sanitized where they were sitting I am paranoid and cannot help it

The only thing that changed for me when covid hit was wearing a mask, I probably will not give that up as a mask can also protect us from things like the flu or a cold.

If you're talking about washing my hands etc well I have always done that anyway so no change there and as far as shaking hands or hugging, I rarely do those unless I know the person really well and even if I did shake someones hand I always had to wash my hands after

Thinking about it, we are mostly back to our old lifestyle although we do avoid large gatherings, especially if they are indoors.

People socialising indoors seems more vulnerable.

Other than wearing mask which is still mandatory, HK government has lifted all the Covid related restrictions. But I still try to avoid going to crowded places.

The responsibility seems no longer of the government but of individuals

Now I still wash my hands often and I will wear a mask to go out. Sometimes I will also keep social distance. Perhaps it is like a habit already... I hope our lives will be back to normal like in the past.

We are not completely back to the old lifestyle yet. We do wear the mask everywhere. Visitors only meet us outside our house. We sanitize our hands if we cannot get our hands to soap and water. I do wipe down our store bought items if it is possible. Mail and parcels are left in the garage for a couple days. I will shake hands but will wash up right away when I can .. . hugs are a maybe, depends on the situation. If anything we are considered to be pretty conservative still - and will continue to be.

@allknowing I don't wash the produce either . . . but certain packaged things I wash (I only did cans before the pandemic, but I've gotten into a habit now of at least wiping bottles, bags, etc). It is only soap and water - not with sanitizers.

I am not back to my old lifestyle. I do not shake hands. I let the mail rest 24 hours before opening it, I do the same with the parcels. I sanitize my hands after grocery shopping. I still wear a mask to go inside a store.

@allknowing The politicians fear to lose votes, so they are no more obliging strict rules, but I prefer to continue to play safe.
