Just wanted to check in. Guy came yesterday to look at the problem with the backed up water. Decided he would try to snake out the drain. Claims that he got the water to run. Hubs will check later today to see if the water level has gone down. I hope so because he charged $434 (Saturday charge). Much better than $7,275. I will not be able to read your Discussions and Notifications today. It's 57 in the house and much too cold to be out from under my quilt. I will just have to catch up later. 44 days until spring! Right now it feels like 84! Breakfast - Oatmeal square Lunch - Chef salad Dessert/Snack - Cake (the last of it) and decaf coffee Dinner - An apple What did you eat yesterday? Photo Credit: Mine - My hubs looking at Horsetail Falls, Columbia River Gorge, Oregon

Chuy’s chicken taco salad for lunch, Subway turkey for dinner. I hope that cleaning the drain did the trick!

@RubyHawk We will still have to pay for the hot water heater; and the furnace was damaged. I don't know how much that will be yet.

Gosh, I wish circumstances for you not being on here were better. Now I feel guilty that my reason is we're on our Paducah trip. I am rooting for you to get all this worked out sooner rather than later. For dinner we went to The Freight House in downtown Paducah, run by Top Chef contestant Sara Bradley, who we got to meet and served us some of our stuff. She even waved at us and thanked us for coming as we left. It was very good food and a VERY good experience. Well worth every penny we spent, and it didn't cost us that much. I think we spent $127 with food, drinks, and tip. For starters we had deviled eggs with a bacon jam. For dinner I had the braised pork shoulder (don't say a WORD! LOL) and my wife had the open faced meatloaf sandwich. It was all awesome!

@porwest It's going to end up costing us around $2,000, not including the water heater.

I am surprised by the charges. It sounds so expensive for a fix for the same here. Otherwise all the best. Concerning the meals Yesterday I don't remember about eating anything. Today I don't have any appetite for anything too. However I am just waiting to crave for anything so that I can eat. In the meantime have a wonderful time on my lot.
