I'm Back!

I'm under my quilt with my arms exposed, so we will see how long I can stay on MyLot. I don't want to get too far behind.
For those of you who don't know, the basement is flooded and has put out the furnace and hot water heater. We haven't had any heat or hot water in several days.
Hanging in there! If I suddenly disappear, it's because I got too cold! Hope you all had a good weekend!

It's good to see you! When will someone be coming to take care of the pilot lights and the flooding?

Oh dear, I'm sorry for your inconvenience. Do the best you can to stay as warm as you can. Reading through the thread, it looks like you may be 'heating up' by Friday.
Hopefully all goes well for you. I love the beautiful picture.

@LindaOHio Any extreme is no good; too hot or too cold.

@betlynfrnds I can take a little extra heat OK with my ceiling fan. I can't stand being cold. It's hard for me to warm up!

Is the water receding at all since the guy worked on it?

Basement is almost dry - should have heat and hot water by Friday...maybe. He saved us $7,275.

@GardenGerty Putting a cardigan on backwards sort of helps too.

@LindaOHio In the winter, that is very true. In the summer it'd be a different story....but right now that's not a good thing!!

I hope repairs can be made in a timely fashion. I don't like to be cold. So hope you don't have to be cold very long. How did the basement get flooded?

I am very, very, sorry! It must be awful to be in a cold house in winter even if you have quilts. I need to go to the bathroom at least twice at night and I woulld freeze even with my warmest PJs.
