Crafty @sharon6345 recommended I watch You which is streamed from Netflix. It reminded me a lot of Dexter. I really enjoyed it and watched all three seasons. There is a 4th season that Premiere's on February 9th, 2023. If you liked Dexter then you will like this one too. Have you seen You yet? Do you recommend a show streaming on Netflix?

I enjoyed watching Dexter and its prequel. I've only seen the first season of You but I wasn't very much enthralled. I've read that the second one was better than the first, so I might try it again.

Sorry, it's a continuation rather called Dexter: New Blood. It only has one season. But according to the latest update, a prequel called Dexter Origins is in the works.
