Rejected and Betrayed

Have you ever been tossed aside by someone who was supposed to love you? Have you felt betrayed or disrespected by the ones who should have had your back? Has the person you lived for treated you like a second-hand option instead of a priority? Many have had to live through these hurts and heartbreaks. It is emotionally, mentally, and physically painful. It is ok to feel the hurt. It is good to acknowledge the heartbreak. But we must not camp out in those hurtful emotions. We have to be honest with God. We have to allow Him to heal us. We have to make sure that He is our priority. When others destroy us emotionally or physically, it is natural to want to expose them for the cruel, self-centered traitors they are. Sometimes there may even be thoughts of revenge. But we have to give all those emotions over to God. We have to trust our Heavenly Father to avenge us. We have to believe that the Father loves us and wants what is best for us. Sometimes we just have to let go and allow the Holy Spirit to shower us with love. We can trust that He will bring people into our lives who can fulfill, but Jesus has to always be first in our lives.

It is what God wants from us, to rely on him. Yes I have had many trials.

It is in our dark moments that we realize how much God wants us to call on Him and seek His help.

I have absolutely experienced betrayals by those I loved. You're right, it happens to many people. Your post is so encouraging and true, based on my life experiences. God has taught me many things and He's healing my heart and mind, one day at a time.

The same is true for me. The more I trust Him and seek His help, the more He transforms my way of thinking which, in turn, heals and changes my emotions.
