Just saw on the news that there is an increase in Renal Failure globally. Doctors are trying to find out what are the main contributing factors. They say the main factors are high blood pressure and diabetes. Some people are not eating healthy and taking care of themselves. The economy has alot to do with it too. Do you think consumption of alot of fast food is a contributing factor?

What I know is consuming fast food in excess is not good. Because these types of food can increase the risk of various dangerous diseases, such as hypertension, high cholesterol, heart disease, diabetes, and even cancer.

They encouraged people for year to drink a lot of water, this is the result. I do not known from where this water mania came.

@askme123 Yes, of course, because the kidneys have an extra charge of work to get rid of the water. Doctors suggest to drink water but they suggest the right quantity for your weight. In our days there is this mania to drink plenty of water saying that it's healthy and helps to lose weight. Well it's wrong.

@LadyDuck Oh my.I didnot know this.I thought the water would help to flush out the impurities and the more the better for our kidneys. So how many glasses of water would you suggest we drink per day?

I think it probably has a lot to do with it yes. It isn't healthy for the most part, and people consume a lot of it

Yes sometimes the things we love the most can be so damaging. Heard that too much soda is not good for us.

@askme123 If we can meet the needs required by the body we may not be attacked by the disease, but generally the natural ingredients in food are now polluted by an unhealthy environment.

It is not just about calories but the actual ingredients in the food. You can eat small amount of highly processed food and still get sick in the long term.

Yes but some fast food is loaded with a lot of sodium and other msg ingredients. I guess you can have fast food once in awhile .But not too often.

I wouldn't be surprised if fast food and prepackaged food were to blame. Neither is healthy and contributes to high blood pressure, weight gain, diabetes, cancer, and heart disease.
