So much accomplished during nap time today

The past two days the baby had a belly ache and wanted to be held a lot. She wouldn’t let me put her down to nap so I didn’t get much done.
I was so relieved today that she took a nice two hour nap. I was able to get so much done.
While she slept I rinsed out the cloth diapers soaking overnight in the utility sink, cleaned the toilet, swept and mopped the dining room, kitchen, hallway and bathroom, logged into my bank account to check my monthly statement, and wrote down a recipe I had stored on my phone onto an index card.
She has been crying this morning while I was trying to get dinner started in the crockpot so I let her get all the potatoes out of the bag and play with them as I was peeling them. Then I let her “help” me with the onions which you can see how well she did in the photo.
Dinner was Crockpot loaded baked potato soup and Caramelized onion Gruyère drop biscuits along with some leftovers.
I did all the usual chores ..dishes, two loads of laundry, and vacuumed two carpets.
One of the animals defecated on the steps and hallway so I had to clean that up. I got a nosebleed for no reason and the lab and cat got in a tiff. The baby spit up on my bedroom carpet so I shampooed that.
My daughter cleaned a woman’s house today who told her she heard my daughters uncle got arrested for possession of drugs today. I felt sad hearing that he just cannot get his life straightened out.
The best part of my day was the 65 minutes the baby and I cuddled and read books.
I wonder what tomorrow holds. I’m thinking of baking some bread to go with the leftovers soup.

@Juliaacv hmm none of the older kids did anything that left me hopping luckily. The day before my stepson got coffee grounds all over the microwave top, the shelf behind it and behind the microwave and beside it. I was so mad thinking my husband did it and I cleaned it up. It was my stepson and I told him what happened and that next time he will be cleaning it. I had to move the entire microwave onto our table to clean under and around it and it was so heavy.

I really enjoy a healthy bread to go with soup or chili.

@celticeagle she wouldn’t let her down much today so I wasn’t able to make any bread. Thankfully my husband made dinner for him and the boys.

@celticeagle once every few weeks or so he makes dinner. I ate a little leftover cheesy asparagus pasta and two peanut butter and jellies.

I'm exhausted just reading all that you did. I feel embarrassed to admit I needed a nap
Cute picture of the baby "helping" you cook but your crockpot meal sounds scrumptious.
Hope you were able to enjoy your cuddle and reading time.
Sounds like there's never a dull moment in your house

@Marilynda1225 The baby and I just read all 7 of her Clifford the Big red dog books. When we went upstairs to get her clothes and diapers for the day she spotted it on the bookshelf and wanted to read it. Now she’s playing with her interactive dog so I’m popping in here.
Yesterday I had lots of energy but she wouldn’t sleep in her bed last night so I’m tired today.

@Marilynda1225 I have a load of laundry going and plan to wash all the sheets on our beds but it may take me two days to get them all done. I don’t feel like I will have as much to do today and can relax a little more.

You did a wonderful job. Congratulations! What animals do you have inside your house that are not house broken? I was happy that Luna decided that she was an outside dog. I just couldn´t have cleaned her poo on my floor.

@marguicha my husbands beagle that was dying was in here for a week and he was an outside dog not housebroken so she was having accidents on the crate. At the end he just couldn’t hold it at all and was laying in it. It was gross but sad.
The kitten, the little dog and the lab are all housebroken. Once in awhile the little dog will go on the floor instead of trying to tell me she has to go out but I think this might have been the cat. I think when he clawed the lab and the lab bit her he ran out of the room as fast as he could and ran upstairs under my dresser and hid. I think he pooped on the way.

@marguicha I waited a week with my old cat in my avatar before I could put her down as well. She was 16 and hadn’t eaten for a week at all. I wanted to give her every last chance to improve but she didn’t. It really is a hard decision we just hope they will pass in their sleep but it doesn’t seem to ever happen that way.

@shaggin I can see it was an accident. My Misty changed her place near my home during the last week of her life. She bled and cleaned until she just went near the fence. I was heartbroken. The vet had told me that it was time to put her down but it took me a week to accept it. I should have done what the vet said. It would have saved her pain.

@Tina30219 she wouldn’t sleep in her crib last night so I’m tired today. She was just napping in my arms for awhile and let me lay her down in her bouncer seat so I can start on some cleaning. I don’t have much to do today luckily.

Such a sweet photo here, you gotta laugh. She is in her own little world there. I hope today is better and not so busy for you. Reading to her makes such sweet memories. Dustin used to say "read it one more time Momma". Thanks for bringing those memories back for me.

@CarolDM I’m glad it made you think of happy memories with your son. So your son must have liked reading the same books over and over too? I hate reading the same one repeatedly but she loves it. We’ve read 10 books today but one of them many times a certain Clifford the big red dog one.

Ooh you get so much done. And you clean up all the messes. The baby makes good help in her way, by making sure you get snuggles and a few minutes of reading and relaxing.

@GardenGerty I wish I had more time yesterday to spend with her. Today she was back to not feeling well or something as she has barely let me put her down. So I haven’t gotten much housework done but got lots of cuddles and reading time with her

@allknowing I got better at it the older my kids got. Now if I could concentrate a little better things would be easier. It’s so hard to focus to get one thing done.

That's a lot of onions. You guys must be rich, since onions over here went over price or something. Lolz I also remember people being some cheap oinions looking like that. Hope you enjoy the time with the little baby.

@Letranknight2015 aww that is sad they are so costly there. I wonder why that is. We love onions im glad they are so inexpensive. I get bags of 6 or more for just over $1. I go to food trucks and things where they give away free food in get them a lot too which I believe is what all these ones are. It’s food that is close to expiring or past expiration they stores and growers get rid of.
