~in a year.
I lost them all. Last year of January, I hit the highest weight I could ever gotten. I weigh 83.4 kilos. For the height of 5 feet 2 inches, I think that is too much. I'm thankful though that I did not have any asthma attacks. But then it's hard to move around, to sit on the ground and get up. My feet aches when I got up from long time of sitting. My blood pressure stays the same at 140/90 and above (never lower even with maintenance).
February last year, I decided to lose the weight. I started my walks. Lost a tiny bit of weight. March came, I discovered a group of advocates practicing low carb and intermittent fasting. It got me curious seeing their results. I started my own journey. I cut my carbs which basically rice, bread and bit of pasta. I started fasting for a minimum of 12 hours and increase it gradually up to 16 or 18 hours. I continue exercising (30 minutes only ) either YouTube exercises or walking.
One year is gone, 15 kilos gone off my weight too. I'm very happy, I feel light too. Not much pain on my feet. My BP has never been this low for several years, 125/70.
Unlike those in the LCIF group, I do not restrict myself too much on the diet but I tried my best cutting the carbs.
I did well, right?
I'm hoping to lose some more but what is important right now is to maintain this weight and not gain more.

Wow! You did really well... I also want to lose some more weight but I am not very particular with my diet. I was also a member of LCIF group on FB but I can't follow what they are doing. But last year, when my father was in the hospital for almost 4 months, that's when I also lost some weight, maybe about 10 kg. That is for commuting daily, to and from the hospital and doing all the household chores at home and even buying all the needs at home and in the hospital...
Currently I am at 65 and if I can't lose some more weight, I must maintain it.

Oh, my, you were 183.86 pounds before? Thanks for the inspiration.
So when you say you've cut down on rice, bread and pasta, but did not eliminate them completely, can you share what you typically eat in a day and how much?
How about fruits, juice and processed food - did you lessen them too?

Yes, that's my heaviest weight last year.
The first thing I did is to cut down rice and bread. It is easy for me for the rice. But you can measure it if you cannot take it out fully. I only drink water and black coffee. I usually eat eggs, and the regular meal we have. I usually prepare veggie dishes with ground pork. I eat that with eggs.
I eat more veggies than fruit since fruits have sugar as well. My little indulgence at time is of course cake. So if I eat some cake I made sure that I do not take in any carbs.

@merrybelle2021 Yes, it is hard to drink black coffee as I have a sweet tooth. I like my coffee a bit sweet. But then I have a goal, so I try to lessen the sugar in my coffee until there is none
I still like milk, cheese, and chocolates. I use non-fat milk. I rarely have cheese. Chocolates, that is another topic
Butter, olive oil and coconut oil

@rakski Was it hard to switch to black coffee without sugar/milk/cream?
Do you still have dairy like milk and cheese?
Did you switch to coconut oil?

Congrats. Just be careful, you don't want to lose to much.

You did very well! Congratulations!
I am losing weight slowly. My blood pressure is usually 120/80. When it does go out of balance, it goes too high and I have to take a blood pressure pill to bring it back down. (It was too high today because Pretty and I are having a problem with money flow but hopefully, we can get that under control again very soon.)

I am working on keeping my weight down since keeping my weight down decreases my chances of getting diabetes.

I am so happy for you. Yes you should try to maintain it at the same time should look after health properly too. Fasting if not habitual can lead to pressure or vertigo problems, not scaring you. Just saying. Every body is different and one should do what one feels comfortable about and go about it

@merrybelle2021 true. I started with that. 6pm to 6am.
Then I adjust my dinner earlier at 4pm. Now I am practice TMAD (two meals a day)
I usually have brunch between 10-11 the early dinner at 4-5

A simple example would be dinner at 7pm then breakfast at 7am. That's 12 hours while you're sleeping.
Then you adjust by either having breakfast later, say 8am, and/or having dinner earlier, say, 6pm.
