Day 1 of 10: 2/9/23 Hi! Hope you all are doing well. I have been a little bit busy between work, work and more work lately it seems. My spending lately has REALLY been out of control and I need to reel it in some. Last time I did a "no spend challenge", it really helped me put things back in perspective and reel-in my spending again. Since I bought a house, and now spring time is approaching, I've been seeing cute things online or at Target and picking them up, along with different clothes and just all kinds of stuff I don't really need or at least I don't need it all, now, at once. I also booked 2 vacations and bought an exterior door, which now has me a bit strapped for cash. Urgh! So silly spending. My rules: no unneccessary spending (that means: shopping, clothes, eating out, drinking out, online purchases, etc). Yes: groceries (be mindful/as low budget as possible), gas, bills Yes, one day I will enjoy moderation. Until then, I am on a no-spend challenge for 10 days. Today is day 1! Today has been challenging because I wanted a Starbucks coffee right out the gate, and I wanted a soda while at work from the vending machine. Not doing it! I know I'll be thankful when it's all over.

I´m on a similar challenge. ILast month I could but groceries only once in the month and no clothes. This month I was hoping to do the same but when I arranged my pantry I discovered that I don´t have milk or enough onions. I´ll try to go without them for another week but I will have to use my imagination to have good meals without using them.

I am also on a no spending challenge since I need to spend my money on buying groceries and avoid spending on items that I do not need besides the print cartridges for the printer on a monthly basis.

I'm always frugal, I only spend for what is necessary.

That sounds like a great idea to me! I don’t rarely spend money on anything that’s unnecessary but my husband does. He shops online all the time.

Good for you but I'm sure it won't be easy. I'm not really into shopping which is probably a good thing. I must have been once because I have a lot of stuff.

No buy challenges is not easy. I tried to do a no buy in 2021. By end of the year I was feeling so deprived the shopping malls was like a child's candy store LOL. I'm more focused now on reducing food costs by cooking, and eating leftovers. But yea that is a good way to saev money. Good luck.

Good luck with this! It's hard not to spend anything at all, maybe you can promise yourself a little treat at the end (obviously not an expensive little treat!)
