I hadn't realized it was so thick!

I went to get the mail, and found what was obviously a book (given the Thriftbooks.com wrapping), someone wanting money, and a letter from a child that I sponsor.
After I got the mail, I continued for a half hour walk.
I noted as I was holding the package with the book in it that it felt pretty thick, which surprised me a bit. Once I got it home and opened it, I saw that it was indeed a thick one--but sometimes I find that even books with lots of pages can be fast reads if they're enjoyable enough.
This (The Mysterious Benedict Society) is another new series for me. While I was still on the site while ordering this book, I saw that there was a book that was a prequel to the one pictured, so I ordered it, too. I need to finish the book I'm reading, and also, since I like to read books in chronological order of the events that happen in them, I'll wait for the prequel to come before reading the one I received today.
I hope that you got something you were expecting/something good in the mail in your part of myLot land!

I haven't been down to the mailbox, but yesterday, we got a card from my sister-in-law.

I've read thicker books (both by Louisa May Alcott) but that was years ago. This is thicker than the books I've been reading lately.

All I got in the mail today was junk mail. I lloked at it and threw it away. Better than bills.

I never expect anything from the mail until my youngest son told me that he ordered the rain visor for our Mitsubishi L300 Versavan. Soon it will arrive through a courier.
