Moving Again?

Good morning! Some of you know me from when I was on mylot before. For those who don't know me, my brother passed away almost 3 years ago. I'm still having problems dealing with it. We lived together for around 11 years. It's hard without him. I've been going to therapy and it's helped a lot. I will be moving soon. My sister is alone and not in the greatest health. Nothing life-threatening except her seizures. She has grand mal seizures and they don't know why. She has them so bad that she has broken bones. She and her husband divorced a while back and she really doesn't need to be alone in case she was to have a bad one so I'm moving in with her. I'll start packing within the next couple of days. I'm old and can't do things like I used to, so it will take me a while as I will have to do it all myself. I'm hoping to be able to move at the end of March. I may not be able to be on here every day but hopefully, this will change by the end of March. I've missed all of you so much!

@simone10 As soon as you said that the brother you lived with passed away. I am glad therapy helos you deal with his loss. It is very hard to lose someone very close to us. I am so sorry about your sister. You are a good sister for moving in with her and wanting to keep an eye on her. It is very hard when you have to do it all yourself. Whenever you can come back we will be here for you. Take care.

Thank you! Losing my brother has been so hard for me, even more than losing my Mom. I think its because his passing was a shock and so unexpected. I worry about my sister, afraid she will have a seizure and be alone.

@simone10 You have a furry one don't you? Will you be able to take your furry one with you when you go live with your sister? I can imagine how hard it was for you to lose your brother. I know you guys lived together and were very close I believe. You are doing the right thing by helping your sister stay safe by living with her. This way you can help her with her health.

Yes, I think it is a good idea also. We are both alone and lonely now so we will both feel better after I move.

@simone10 I have thought about what I would do if I end up alone. I like my alone time but wouldn't want that full time.

I can't wait to move. I get so lonely now that Chuck is gone. Also, it's really hard being here, making it hard for me to get over it. I have been through an intense depression. I was at the bottom and didn't think I would make it to the top again but I finally got tired of feeling this way and went to my doctor. She referred me to a psychiatrist and a therapist who has helped tremendously.

Enjoy your sister while you can. Depending on her insurance and such they might pay you to be a caregiver. I did that for my sister for a little over six months, but did not live with her. She passed kind of suddenly in January. I am glad I got to spend extra time with her before that. Will you have to move far?

I am looking forward to moving. We both have been alone for a while now. I'll check on her insurance and see. She lives about 4 1/2 hours from me.

Welcome back! It's good to see you back on myLot. I'm sorry about your brother passing but am glad you're going to therapy. It's hard when we lose someone close to us. I'm sure your sister will appreciate you moving in to help her, just in case, as well as be there for each other... Whatever time you can manage is always fine. You know we're here when you have time for us.

Thank you! I will have to take it easy packing because of my back. I can't stand longer than about 5 minutes so I have no choice but to be careful.

Thank you Linda, it's good to be back. With us, it will be like the blind leading the blind...lol. We both have health issues but I don't have anything life-threatening as she does.
